August 18, 2017

Sonoma-Marin Rail Transit (SMART) has announced that it will begin full service on Friday, August 25 at 12:49pm.  Service begins following an opening ceremony at 9am in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa.

To complement SMART’s new service, Sonoma County Transit recently introduced its new “50-series” routes that provide transit links to SMART stations at Airport Blvd, Rohnert Park, Cotati and Petaluma.

The six new routes include two “last-mile” shuttles for SMART/SCT commuters traveling to the Sonoma County Center, Kaiser Hospital (on Bicentennial Way), Santa Rosa Junior College (Route 57) and the Sonoma County Airport Business Park (Route 55).
