What’s operating – Saturday, January 16


All Routes

Service update for Saturday, January 16:

Local routes 10, 12 & 24 are operating on their Saturday schedules.

Local routes 28, 32, 66, 67 & 68 are operating on their Monday thru Saturday schedules.

Routes 20, 30 & 60 are operating on their Daily schedules.

Routes 44 & 48 are operating on their Weekend schedules.

Fare collection will resume on Monday, February 1.  Local routes 24, 28, 32, 66, 67 & 68 will remain Fare-Free.

Public transit services continue to operate during the COVID-19 crisis to serve essential travel only.  Essential travel is restricted to trips for necessary supplies, access to healthcare or to provide aid to family or friends.  If you’re not making an essential trip, please do not ride and respect shelter in place requirements.  Do not ride if you’re sick with a fever or a cough.

All passengers are be required to wear a face covering in order to comply with Sonoma County Public Health Order C19-07.

To protect the health and safety of other riders, drivers may inquire about the purpose of your travel.

Holiday Notice – Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Monday, January 18


All Routes

Monday, January 18 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday. Sonoma County Transit will be operating on its Saturday schedules.

Fare Collection to Resume February 1


All Routes

Sonoma County Transit halted fare collection in mid-March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, passenger boarding and alighting has been restricted to rear doors only to limit passenger and driver interaction. Prior to February 1, all large Sonoma County Transit buses will be equipped with driver protection barriers allowing front door boarding to resume. Fare collection on Sonoma County Paratransit will also resume on February 1.

Passengers using routes 24, 28, 32, 66, 67 and 68 will continue to ride free under the local Shuttle Fare-Free program.

Sales of Sonoma County Transit’s Monthly Pass, 31-Day Pass and Fast Pass will resume in mid-January. Santa Rosa CityBus and Petaluma Transit will also resume fare collection on February 1.

Passenger Notice: Facial Coverings Required


All Routes

On April, 13, 2020, the Sonoma County Health Officer issued Order C19-07 (effective Friday, April 17), that states that persons shall wear facial coverings in the following situations:

Before they enter any indoor facility besides their residence. Examples: grocery stores, laundromats/drycleaners, work facilities, post office, etc.

In any enclosed open space. Examples: outdoor work sites, construction sites, taxis/rideshares, or buses.

When outdoors if the person is unable to maintain a six-foot distance from another person at all times. Examples: Farmer’s market, pumping gas, drive thru/delivery/carry out/curbside pickup, etc.

All Sonoma County Transit and Sonoma County Paratransit passengers will be required to wear a face covering in order to comply with Health Officer Order C19-07.  As provided by the Order, a governmental entity, business owner, or operator may, to the extent authorized by law, refuse admission or service to any customer or visitor who fails to wear facial coverings. Compliance is necessary to protect the health and safety of drivers and passengers.

“Facial coverings” means any fabric or cloth that covers the mouth and nose. The facial covering can be made using household items (including scarves, bandanas, t-shirts, sweatshirts, towels, turtlenecks, or other fabric), can be sewn by hand, or factory-made.  Facial coverings should not be placed on children under age 2 or on anyone who has trouble breathing or is otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
