Sonoma County Transit, Santa Rosa CityBus, and Petaluma Transit are offering fare-free rides on Wednesday, Feb. 4, in observance of Transit Equity Day commemorating the life and legacy of Rosa Parks and other transit trailblazers who pursued equitable transportation for everyone. 

This year come help us celebrate in-person at the Downtown Santa Rosa Transit Mall on the day at 10:00AM. The event will take place on the southeast corner. Attendees can take home a one-of-a-kind button style pin as a symbol of their commitment to standing up for equity.

Now you can ride Sonoma County Transit by tapping your contactless bank card to pay your fare. Just look for the contactless symbol on your card or pay using a contactless card in your mobile wallet. Accepted card brands are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Please note: You will be charged the full adult fare when using a contactless bank card to pay. Don’t forget to tap your card when exiting the bus to ensure you are charged for the appropriate number of zones traveled.
