Route 51 – Temporary Night Service – Beginning April 12th.
New Temporary Route 51 Night Service Launching April 12
Route 51 is a temporary night service designed to improve regional transit connections during evening hours.
Operating seven days a week from April 12 through June 30, Route 51 provides a single evening trip that travels south from the Petaluma Transit Mall to the Novato Transit Hub, then returns north to the Petaluma Transit Mall, continuing to Rohnert Park Expressway & Commerce Boulevard, and ending at the Santa Rosa Transit Mall. The route is intended to serve passengers using Golden Gate Route 101 by providing a convenient connection in Novato to Sonoma County destinations. The schedule for Route 51 can be found here: Route 51 Schedule
Route 51 is funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) as a transitional service in response to recent transit changes, including a reduction in Route 101 bus service in Sonoma County and an increase in SMART train service.
