Sonoma County Transit’s College Student Subsidized Fare program allows unrestricted use of Sonoma County Transit for all Sonoma County College Students attending either Santa Rosa Junior College or Sonoma State University.

Funding for the program comes from a partnership between Sonoma County, the Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University. The colleges fund approximately 55% of the program costs for their students using Sonoma County Transit.

A companion program for Sonoma County Veterans was made permanent in December 2015.

Upon boarding a Sonoma County Transit bus, College Students are required to show their current semester identification card. For Veterans, a Veterans Administration identification card or a Sonoma County Veterans identification card is required.
